But What about Dexatrim?
Comparing Prescription Weight Loss
Drugs with Over the Counter Dieting Pills

You’ve decided to stick with the pills; gastric bypass just isn’t your thing. You still can’t help but ask the question, “Do I need a prescription?” After all, there are plenty of over the counter weight loss products on the market these days, including Dexatrim, Trim Spa, and many others. In this article, I’m going to focus on Dexatrim and Trim Spa.

Cost

Once again, you must look at the cost of your options. You have the prices of prescription weight loss drugs, and now you want to compare the price with over the counter drugs. You would like to do this without having to go to the store and wade among the crowds just to find out the price of the item you are looking for. You can order Dexatrim products online for prices ranging from $9.99 to $22.99. Trim Spa appetite suppressants are selling for $29.99 for sixty tablets. The carb blocker is going for $24.99, and you can get the fat blocker also for $24.99.

What’s Out There?

Products such as Dexatrim are some of the many dietary supplements that are ephedrine-free. Dexatrim offers a few different supplements including Results, Natural-No Caffeine Formula, Natural-Ephedrine Free Formula, and Natural-Green Tea formula. Trim Spa offers, as seen above, appetite suppressants, fat blockers, and carb blockers.

Are These Products FDA Approved?

No, they are not. For Dexatrim, for example, you will see a box down below with an asterisk in the corner. In this box you will read, “These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.” Trimspa also admits that their product has not been reviewed by the FDA.

So in making your decision, be aware that there are a variety of products out there that may or may not be cheaper than prescription drugs and have not been tested by the FDA.
